Screening and Evaluations

Chitter Chat, LLC offers screenings and evaluations in all areas of communication to determine the type and extent of communication breakdown.

WHAT IS A SCREENING*?

These are quick checklists and skill set probes that are done in addition to the information you provide. This information should include a recent, complete speech and language evaluation and possible diagnosis in the area of communication. The screening together with the information you provide will be used to develop a comprehensive therapy plan to address the specific needs of your child.  

 

​A brief report will be provided within a week following the session.

 

Sessions are usually 30 minutes for screenings (additional time may be needed).

WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION*?

Our comprehensive evaluation process will be used to address concerns that you have about your child's communication skills. This is best when your child has not been previously evaluated. This will include standardized and non-standardized assessment procedures including parent input, child input, observation during the assessment, and consultation with school personnel ( if applicable). 

 

A full report of the findings will be provided in 2-3 weeks. The information will be used to develop a comprehensive therapy plan to address the specific needs of your child.  

 

​Sessions are in 1-hour increments (additional sessions may be required).
